System Warranty Warranty with systems Our warranty with our computer systems is fairly comprehensive. Computer system hardware is guaranteed
free of defect for 1 year from purchase date. In addition we offer a further 2 years
hardware support. This form of free labour warranty also applies to computer upgrades to your system. If you purchase components to upgrade your computer (e.g. motherboard and chip swap) we will fit them free of charge. Cost of transport of goods to and from us. When returning goods to us for replacement or repair, you pay any charges for shipment to us. We will pay the cost of shipment back to you (providing you are within the UK). If taking advantage of the extra 2 year free labour warranty, you unfortunately have to pay the transport both ways.
On Site Warranties If you happen to live in or around Manchester, England, we normally extend our standard Return-to-Base Warranty (see above) to an on-site warranty. Service and repair to your system can then be provided at your address, rather than sending the goods to and from us. Please ring us if you want this type of cover as we provide our own on-site maintenance and some areas cannot be covered.
5 Hour Call out On Site Warranties As an extension to our on-site warranty we may be able to provide an on site service with a guaranteed call out time. 14 Day Money Back Guarantee Our PCs are covered by a 14 day money
back guarantee. If the system is faulty (as deemed so by our engineers), there will be no charge applied to the amount refunded. Although we would suggest alternative solutions prior to a refund. If the computer is unwanted and is not faulty (as deemed so by our engineers), there will be at most a 10% restocking fee, to cover expenses involved in the sale and production of the goods. Additional charges as to re-furbishing the product to its original standard will also apply to any refund (at our refurbishing cost). For this reason any packaging, manuals, disks and other items supplied with the system should ideally be returned in full and in perfect condition. Sale of software, once the software has been opened, is final and is not covered under the Money Back Guarantee due to copyright and licensing issues. The Money Back Guarantee is also only offered for 14 days from the supply of the equipment (mainly due to depreciation of computer equipment).
Your Statutory rights None of our warranties are intended to replace or affect your legal rights under the Sale of Goods act.
Technical support Technical support is provided for your machine's serviceable life span. Technical support is from 10:15am - 5pm Monday to Friday (during our working year). While we cannot provide answers to every technical question (particularly software related), we will try our best to help you or guide you towards an answer.
What we do not cover In general we only warranty hardware. This is because of the unpredictable nature of modern software and incompatibilities between software products. Software media is sold "as working". Once unpackaged we can only replace the product with like. We cannot be liable for misuse of our equipment or damage caused as a result of such misuse. We do not provide insurance on your system or its components. Internal adjustments and modifications to your computer are performed at your risk. We cannot be liable for financial loss from events such as data loss, hardware failure and incompatibilities with other equipment. So please make backups of data before you begin any upgrade work. Goods are not supplied on a trial or test basis. |
