About Us

March 21 1994

Following various requests for PCs from friends, Phillip Errington started the company from a bedroom at 22, Stamford Road, Longsight, Manchester.
486 DX40 processors were the high end at this time.
Late 1994 / Early 1995
We received our first orders from Manchester University departments:
School of Biological Sciences on 4/11/94          Medical Biophysics on 16/12/94
Dept. of Computer Science on 26/1/95. We are still trading with these today.
Early 1995
As the business expanded, Fast 'n' Easy expanded into 2 more rooms at Stamford Road.
Machines started to use the Intel Pentium processor.
Feb 1995
Following an armed robbery as we were delivering goods to an address in Rusholme, we lost confidence in our Longsight location (invoices had been stolen along with £2000 cash).
This prompted a move to Hazel Grove in Stockport.
Feb 1995 - Jan 1996
Our business ran out of 2 rooms at Hafod, on Hope Street, Hazel Grove during this period.
The lease ran out at the beginning of 1996, and so another move was required.
Jan 1996 - May 1997
Working from 5 Rowley Drive, Hazel Grove, the business expanded employing 3 separate people on a piecework basis.
June 1997 - Sept 1999
The business transferred to 3 Lyme Road, Hazel Grove, where we built a custom-designed work room and used a large proportion of the house for storage.
Our Technical Manager, Mark Stone, joined the company during this time.
June 1999
Larger orders and the desire for a retail area made us decide to move to our current location on the Marcliffe Industrial Estate, Macclesfield Road, Hazel Grove.
Work began on the shell unit we rented in June, ending in September.
A full rewire, networking, new floors and ceilings and new furnishings were needed.
Sept 1999
We moved into our current premises in September 1999.
March 2003
Neil Barham joins as Technical Manager
